Modern Mobility for UAE's Coastline
The Emirates Seaglider Initiative (ESI) is a consortium of local government, private sector, and community stakeholders working to increase awareness, understanding, and adoption of seagliders in the United Arab Emirates.
Our mission is to understand and advocate for how seagliders can help the UAE modernize its maritime transportation network, enablement systems, and supporting renewable energy infrastructure in ways that create a more convenient and reliable transportation network for passenger and freight.
Key Priorities of ESI
Advanced Port Infrastructure
Develop sustainable and resilient coastal infrastructures, aligning modernized maritime logistics
Cleaner, Greener Mobility
Advance the UAE's Net Zero 2050 goals by reducing carbon emissions in coastal and urban transport with all-electric seagliders
Smart and Safe Cities
Integrate seagliders into UAE's Smart Cities to enhance connectivity, reduce congestion, and support urban safety and security
High-Tech Career Development
Train and develop a skilled workforce for high-tech careers in cutting-edge technology markets, driving UAE's innovation economy
ESI is a continuously evolving initiative, but our goals will always align with the UAE's emphasis on sustainability and innovation.
